Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH-CET) is computer-based state-level entrance test for management programmes. It is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra for admission to management courses in various institutes in the State of Maharashtra, India.

The admission to the different management courses for colleges in state of Maharashtra is a centralised process and is covered under the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) which is carried out by the Competent Authority of the State of Maharashtra.

Eligibility

The candidates must fulfil following basic parameters as prescribes by DTE to be eligible to apply for MAH-CET:

  1.     The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute with at least 50% marks ( 45% for reserved     category from the state of Maharashtra) in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
  2.     The duration of graduation programme should be of minimum 3 years.
  3.     The candidates who are in the final year of graduation can also apply in the same year, provided they complete their graduation and all other     requirements in stipulated time.
  4.     The candidates who have given CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT are also eligible to apply for admission against All India seats.
  5.     Centralized Admission Process (CAP) is the counselling process for DTE MBA.
  6.     DTE MBA Reservation is provided to various reserved categories of Maharashtra and Outside Maharashtra.

EXAM PATTERN

  1.     The mode of examination is offline.
  2.     The duration of examination is 150 minutes.
  3.     Total number of questions is 200.
  4.     All the questions are MCQ.

  •     The marking scheme is as follows:
  1.      Correct answer: +1 marks
  2.      Incorrect answer: No negative marking

APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION PROCESS:

The candidates can only apply online for MAH-CET by following the below-mentioned steps:

  •      Visit the official website dtemaharashtra.gov.in
  • Register and create a profile.
  • Login using the user id and password
  • Fill the application form and submit
  • Make the payment of the application fees.

MODE OF PAYMENT:

The DTE clearly mentions that application form fee will only be accepted by way of online payment.

TEST CENTRES:

MAH CET examination is held at various test centres across India. Candidates have the option to select any 3 exam centres as per their preference while filling the application form of MAH CET.

ADMIT CARD:

The admit card can be downloaded by the candidates by logging in to the DTE, Maharashtra official website.

The steps to download the admit card are as follows:

  1.      Visit the official DTE website: dtemaharashtra.gov.in
  2.      Click on the CET 2018 tab
  3.      Select MAH-MBA/MMS
  4.      Click on the tab for downloading the admit card
  5.      Enter login credentials
  6.      Take a printout of the same
