Summer Internship in IMI Bhubaneswar PGDM:
PGDM students have to do a summer internship every year. During their summer break, they go to an industry and work on a project for two months. The process of getting a summer internship started in April 2021 for the PGDM class of 2020–2022. This was done to give them the right exposure to and confidence in the corporate culture. If they do a great job, their companies may also offer them permanent jobs. Even though there was a pandemic, all of the students were placed in high-quality organizations. Not to mention that the summer jobs were finished in January as well because the companies had so much faith in them again. Many well-known and respected companies, like the Reserve Bank of India, Amazon, Dabur, Kotak Mahindra, Tommy Hilfiger, DTDC, IDBI Capital, Tata AIG, and many more, hired the students.
Over 40 recruiters in cities all over India offered these internships. But the sudden increase in Covid cases forced some students to do WFH (Work From Home). MBA students need to work in the industry as part of their overall development. SIP (Summer Internship Process) helps students use what they’ve learned in the classroom to solve real-world problems, learn from corporate mentors, and get a clear picture of their future careers. IMI Bhubaneswar has grown as students have gotten better jobs and projects in a variety of industries.
Since a lot of companies took part in the process, the students were happy with their profiles and companies because they had a lot of choices. Since they were excited about their new jobs, it was thought that they would do very well in their fields.
