IEM Group Institute of Engineering and Management, founded in 1989, is West Bengal’s first self-financed engineering college. The institution is located in Kolkata, West Bengal’s IT capital. The AICTE-approved Institute of Engineering and Management is associated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, previously West Bengal University of Technology. The NAAC has given IEM a Grade-A with a score of 3.25.

In 2019, Institute of Engineering and Management was ranked 101st among Engineering institutions. The institution provides a total of 16 courses across six programs. BTech, MTech, MBA/PGDM, BBA, BCA, and MSc in Information Science are among the courses available.

IEM has a well-equipped digital library with a large reading room and multimedia PCs for students, as well as resources such as 20,235 e-journals, an EBSCO business database with 1,000 business publications, and subscriptions to internationally renowned digital libraries such as IEEE, JGATE, DELNET, and others.
