The International Management Institute (IMI) Bhubaneswar, founded in 2011, is a young institute that ranked 62nd in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2021 conducted by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. AICTE-approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), PGDM (Part Time), and FPM (equivalent to Ph.D.) programmes are currently available at IMI Bhubaneswar. The flagship PGDM programme holds NBA (National Board of Accreditation) accreditation and AIU equivalency (Association of Indian Universities). The United States Board for Education Standardization (USBES) has accredited and recognized IMI programmes. The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), and the Association of Indian Universities are all members of the institute (AIU).
IMI Bhubaneswar has created a robust entrepreneurship cell, which has recently organized a number of workshops and events and trained over 250 participants on entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, MSME Department, and National Entrepreneurship Network, inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision of Start-up India to create more job creators than job seekers (NEN). IMI Bhubaneswar has also established its own Incubation Center to continue to encourage student entrepreneurship.
Through its affiliations with EGADE Business School in Mexico City, Mexico; Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) in Chengdu, China; ESC Rennes, France; and Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM) in New York, USA, IMI Bhubaneswar has attempted to forge international connections. Every year, in collaboration with an international partner institute, IMI Bhubaneswar organizes three international conferences to provide an environment for global learning, possibilities for international student exchange, research collaborations, and opportunity to meet with world leaders. Palgrave Macmillan publishes SCOPUS indexed conference anthologies on a regular basis for the organization.
The curriculum for the PGDM programme is updated on a regular basis to ensure up with industry’s ever-changing needs. The emphasis is on functional and analytical knowledge and abilities, leadership, human capital management and interpersonal skills, decision-making and problem-solving, ethics and corporate social responsibility, and globalization. To meet the expanding needs of the corporate world, a wide selection of new generation courses such as Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, HR Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Financial Analytics, and so on have been added.

During its placement drive, the International Management Institute (IMI) in Bhubaneswar is quite well for attracting a plethora of highly prized profiles and lucrative salary packages. The institute just finished its placement campaign for the 2019-21 PGDM class. The university was visited by more than 50 recruitment firms.
IMI Bhubaneswar Placements 2021 has announced its final report. According to the report, the whole PGDM class was placed. Domestically, the highest CTC was INR 14.95 LPA. The top 75% of students earned a CTC of INR 8.75 LPA on average.

The institute has made provisions for deserving performers to receive the following scholarships and awards.
Only one of the pre-admission scholarships listed above may be used. The first half of the scholarship will be paid out at the conclusion of the first year, followed by the second half at the end of the second year. Either a tuition price waiver or a pre-admission scholarship is available to candidates. The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final and binding on all candidates.
Merit scholarships are given out to students who have excelled in their academics. The purpose of the summer internship fellowship is to underline the importance of summer internships and to encourage students to give it their all.
For its flagship MBA course, IMI Bhubaneswar is presently taking online applications. Candidates with a valid CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT score can apply online at the official website of IMI Bhubaneswar. Candidates who are self-sponsored (from India) must pay an application fee of INR 1000, while international applicants must pay a fee of USD 100. The CAT cutoff for the PGDM programme is expected to remain at the same level as previous year, at 80 percentiles. Past academic achievement, employment skills, written assignments, discussion groups, extempore, and an online personal interview are used to make the final decision (PI). IMI Bhubaneswar offers an 11-month online certificate programme called PGCPM. Admission to the part-time PGDM programme requires two years of work experience. The result of the IMI Written Test, CAT, or GMAT is utilized to educational background, job experience, and an interview are all factors to consider. PGCPM admission is based on an admissions test, which is followed by an extempore and a personal interview. The Research Aptitude Test (RAT), followed by the PI round, determines admission to FPM. The institute itself conducts the RAT. Candidates who have a valid CAT/GMAT/GRE/UGC NET/CSIR/NBHM score are exempt from the RAT.

For printing jobs, there are 31 laser printers and two high-speed color laser printers available, as well as a Konica Minolta network printer in a central area that is accessible to all students.
