JEE Main eligibility criteria 2022. Candidates who do not fulfil the
JEE Main 2022 eligibility requirements will be disqualified at any level of the
JEE Mains 2022 admission process. According to the
JEE Main eligibility criteria from the previous year, admission to NITs and IIITs is no longer based on 75%.

JEE Main State of Eligibility 2022: Snippets
- The JEE state code The candidate's primary eligibility is not determined by his or her birthplace or place of residence.
- If a student has completed the 12th class test or similar exam from one state but has taken the improvement/supplementary exam from another, the state code where they took the qualifying exam will be used to determine eligibility.
- Students who have completed the NIOS 12th class test or an equivalent exam must select the state of eligibility based on the location of the study centre.
- The State code of eligibility will be granted to Indian nationals who have passed class 12th or equivalent from Nepal/Bhutan based on the permanent address in India as shown in the passport.
- OCI/PIO taking the class 12 exam in India will have the same state code of eligibility as Indian citizens; however, OCI/PIO clearing the 12th class exam from a college/institution overseas will be eligible for other state quota seats or All India quota seats in all NITs, IIEST, and Other-CFTIs ( not for Home State quota seats).

JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria: Admissions to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs
- Admission to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs: Students must have passed the 12th class with a minimum of 75% marks or be in the top 20% of their class 12 test (65% for SC/ST students).
- JEE Main 2022 Admission (B.Arch/B.Planning): He/she must have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate marks.
JEE Main 2022: Subject Combinations for Admissions
Candidates must have completed the qualifying test to be admitted to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs via JEE Main 2022.
- B.Tech/B.E: Physics and Math are required topics, as well as one of the following:
- Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subjects.
- B.Arch topics include mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
- B.Planning: He or she must have completed the qualifying test in Math.
JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Droppers
- There is no age requirements.
- He or she must have graduated from high school in 2021 or 2022. The JEE Main 2022 test allows for three tries in a row.
- Students must have a minimum qualifying score in JEE Main 2022.
- Candidates must have completed at least 5 subjects in their class 12 or qualifying exam (Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics mandatory).
