JEE Main Counseling 2022 will be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). In order to get admission to NITs, IIITs or GFTIs, candidates qualifying on the basis of JEE Main 2022 results will need to submit a Counselling form.
JoSAA 2022 candidates must submit their registration within a specified period of time. JEE Main 2022 Counseling will be open only to registered aspirants. The JEE Main Counseling process 2022 through JoSAA involves many steps such as registration, choice filling, choice locking, seat allocation, and seat acceptance fees. JEE Main 2022 Counseling will consist of 7 rounds.

Students taking part in JEE Main counseling will have to complete a number of processes, including registration and option filling. The complete step-by-step approach involved in JEE Main counseling 2022 is provided below to enable candidates understand the process. Step 1: Register for JEE Main Counseling: First and foremost, applicants must register on the JoSAA 2022 official website. Students must use their JEE Main application form 2022 number and password to access the JoSAA candidate portal. After a successful login, the candidate's information will be immediately retrieved from the JEE Main 2022 database. Before finishing the registration, students must double-check all of the information. Step 2: After registering, candidates must select an institute and courses from a list provided. Students are recommended to pick as many options as possible in order to maximise their chances of acceptance. It should be noted that JoSAA 2022 option filling must be completed before the deadlines. Step 3: Mock seat allotment and choice locking: The authorities will also hold two mock seat allocations to help candidates understand their prospects of admission into the institutes. The mock seat allotment procedure will assist applicants in determining which seats can be assigned to them based on their preference list. After the mock allocation, candidates will be free to modify their selections. Step 4: Seat allotment: JoSAA will conduct six rounds of seat assignment. The JoSAA seat allocation procedure will be based on merit, category, specified preferences, and seat availability. All applicants who have been assigned a seat will be able to receive a provisional seat allocation letter as well as an e-challan to pay the seat acceptance fee online.What options will be available after JEE Main Seat Allotment?
After seat allocation is completed, candidates will have three options: Freeze - The candidate is pleased with the seat assigned to him or her and does not desire to engage in any subsequent rounds of counseling. Float - The candidate is happy with his or her current seat but would like to be considered for other institutes in future rounds of seat distribution. Slide -The candidate has accepted the seat given to him/her, but he/she is also open to admission into a higher chosen programme at the same institute. Step 5: Pay the seat acceptance fee: Candidates who have been assigned seats must pay the seat acceptance fee by e-challan or SBI net banking. It should be noted that the seat acceptance cost will vary based on the candidate's category.
