Semester 1

Foundation in Design: Introduction to design principles, elements of design, and color theory. Visual Communication: Basics of graphic design, typography, and visual storytelling. Design Process and Thinking: Understanding the design thinking process, problem-solving techniques. Digital Tools: Introduction to design software and tools used in the industry. History of Design: Study of design evolution and significant movements in design history.

Semester 2

Advanced Drawing and Illustration: Enhancing drawing skills, illustration techniques. 3D Design Basics: Fundamentals of 3D design, model making, and spatial understanding. Materials and Processes: Study of different materials and their applications in design. User-Centered Design: Focus on designing with the user in mind, ergonomics, and usability. Design Management: Basics of project management, time management, and teamwork in design projects.

Interaction Design: Principles of interaction design, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI) design. Prototyping and Testing: Techniques for creating and testing design prototypes. Branding and Identity: Development of brand identity, logo design, and brand strategy. Environmental and Sustainable Design: Sustainable design practices, eco-friendly materials. Specialization Electives: Students choose electives based on their interest areas such as fashion design, product design, interior design, etc. Design Research Methods: Research techniques, user research, and data analysis for design. Industry Internship: Practical industry experience through internships. Capstone Project I: Beginning of a major design project, ideation, and initial development. Design Ethics: Study of ethical issues in design, intellectual property, and professional conduct. Business of Design: Understanding the business aspects of design, entrepreneurship, and market trends. Interactive Media Design: Design for interactive media, web design, and multimedia projects.

Semester 6

Capstone Project II: Continuation and completion of the major design project. Advanced Specialization Courses: Advanced topics in the chosen specialization area. Professional Practice: Preparing for professional practice, client relations, and design contracts. Exhibition Design: Techniques for designing exhibitions and displays. Final Portfolio Review: Final review and refinement of the design portfolio.
