After earning a B.E. in Electrical Engineering, he pursued his PGDBM (MBA) at the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata. In 1977, he embarked on a fearless entrepreneurial journey, establishing businesses in industrial machinery, mining, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and leather, garnering more than 20 prestigious accolades, including the Vijay Ratna Award for industry excellence, the Gem Of India Award for contributions to India`s social and political fabric, and the Hind Rattan Award for remarkable services and achievements. A staunch advocate of education`s ability to reshape destinies, he founded FIIB in 1994. His vision was to provide world-class management education that matched international standards and was relevant to the industry.
