IIM Ahmedabad Double Degree Program
Around six international universities, including ESSEC Business School France, HEC, University of Bocconi, European Business School Germany, University of Cologne, and ESCP Europe France, have double-degree program agreements with IIM Ahmedabad.
Additionally, IIMA offers a dual degree exchange program in which 10 to 15 students travel abroad for two semesters instead of one. For terms V and VI, this exchange takes place. In this case, in addition to receiving an IIMA PGDM, students who choose to pursue a dual degree also receive a Master’s degree from the exchange university.
The selection requirements for the dual degree are solely based on academic performance at IIMA; extracurricular activities are not considered. According to the criteria of the exchange university, students who pursue a dual degree must also complete an additional thesis or internship there, thus there is typically more work.
IIM Ahmedabad Student Exchange
Every year, 150 candidates are chosen by IIM-A and sent to a top business school abroad for one academic term. Similar to that, 90 students from those partner institutions spend one academic term studying at IIM-A.
The selection criteria for student exchange include both extracurricular activity and academic achievement at IIMA (sports, music, quizzes, case competitions, Positions of Responsibilities, and so on). Only actions taken in conjunction with IIMA are counted.
